In early September, BRICS and Motorola technicians will be upgrading the 800MHz trunked radio system that provides voice communications for all public safety agencies and many other agencies based in Butler County. This is part of a normal cycle during which the radio system infrastructure receives an upgrade every two years – this time from Motorola’s version 7.11 to 7.13.

In addition, we’ll be embarking on a system-level interconnection that will provide greater interoperability with our neighbors and state agencies. Read the letter below to all radio system users for additional information, and let us know if you have any questions.
